Diets and Diet Programs Information
The Eskimo Diet
A Diet to Help You Avoid a Heart Attack
Published in 1990, The Eskimo Diet (Ebury Press) was a world famous book written by two cardiac and nutrition experts Dr Reg Saynor and Dr Frank Ryan. The Eskimo Diet was the first book to highlight how fish oils protect against heart disease.
In addition, the Eskimo Diet explains how to reduce blood pressure, cut cholesterol and recognise the warning symptoms of heart attacks.
Diet Advice About Fish Oils and Heart Disease Still Relevant
The Eskimo Diet's advice about fatty acids from fish and their effect on the circulatory system and heart, is still appropriate today. Sadly, the Eskimo Diet is out of print, but you may find second hand copies on Internet auction sites.
Advice on Diets
Special diets or diet plans with special diet foods are sometimes needed for particular health conditions. Ask your doctor, dietitian or nutritionist about your personal dietary needs. Otherwise, a balanced diet program containing foods from all the nutritional food groups is best.
