Type of Vegan Diet
Fruitarian diets are a type of vegan diet
which includes only minimum amounts of processed or cooked foods. It consists
mainly of raw fruit (75 percent), fruit-like vegetables (e.g., tomatoes,
cucumbers), grains and nuts. Fruitarians eat only plant foods that can
be harvested without killing the plant. Fruitarian diets can be followed
by meat-eaters as a form of weight loss or detox diet plan but long-term
use is not recommended from a nutritional viewpoint. Fruitarian diet plans
may require the addition of nutritional supplements.

diet foods are sometimes needed for particular health conditions. Ask
your doctor, dietitian or nutritionist about your personal dietary needs.
Otherwise, a balanced diet program containing foods from all the nutritional
food groups is best.
