Fruitarian DietType of Vegan DietFruitarian diets are a type of vegan diet which includes only minimum amounts of processed or cooked foods. It consists mainly of raw fruit (75 percent), fruit-like vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, cucumbers), grains and nuts. Fruitarians eat only plant foods that can be harvested without killing the plant. Fruitarian diets can be followed by meat-eaters as a form of weight loss or detox diet plan but long-term use is not recommended from a nutritional viewpoint.
