Squats to Develop Quads and Butt Muscles

Basic Squat

How to Do Basic Squats

1. Stand straight with your feet a shoulder width apart. Tighten your abdomen and look straight ahead throughout the exercise to help keep your back straight.

2. Bend your legs at the knees, stretch your arms out ahead amd slowly lower yourself into a squatting position. Lower your body to a position where your thighs are parallel to the floor. Return to the starting position and repeat.

Squats Tip

As you lower your body, don't allow your buttocks to drop lower than your knees.

Squats Repetitions:

First 2 weeks:
Do 1 set of 5-10 repeats, 4 days per week.
Second 2 weeks:
Do 2 sets of 10-20 repeats, 4 days per week.
Ongoing:
Do 3 sets of 20-30 repeats, 4 days per week.
